I've been here all the time.

We've had random doctor's appts. Chris and I had medical checkups. Little J and I had dental checkups. I started the footwork to getting the crown I need (from 6 years ago) That was the hardest thing I have ever done, since I HATE spending large amounts of money at once. Sure I don't mind blowing gads of money slowly throughout the month but to sit down and write one check for $500 (which I've heard is cheap in the crown world) makes me sick. I go back tomorrow to have the permanent one put on. Then we went and got Easter portraits, chris only. In between Karate and day to day stuff I have been cleaning in preparation for the family (all minus mom) to come visit over there spring break. Poor little J has break the following week so he won't get to see them as much as we want him to.

The weather is beautiful and we've had the windows open for days. It reminds me of spring in Ohio. Too bad it will be 80 degrees soon!

Little J is doing great at school (not so much behavior) I have realized that these stupid card charts they use just make it worse. When I was little I am sure I would have had to flip a card every day too. But because there was no card mom and dad didn't know about every move I made but did hear about the major stuff. So I am not pressuring myself or little J about it anymore. We go over appropriate behavior daily. If he talks once when he is not supposed to it's not the end of the world. A few things have helped me to see that. #1 his teacher does not find it as awful as I thought it was. The few times I have spoken to her, she has made it clear that it in not a big deal unless he is flipping more than once. #2 Everyday he comes home sad and dejected. That's not fair to him. His whole day shouldn't be ruined because he said something when he wasn't supposed to. #3 I clearly remember being the same way and things worked out for me. #4 He still gets an S or S- in conduct. It's not the E we hope for but it's not a U either. In Kindergarten he got a U and the whole family was horrified. The three of us didn't know how to react to that!

Chris is doing fantastic also. He hold his head up, smiles, and coos. He hates tummy time so I am sure he won't be rolling over according to the Dr's schedule. He also hates sleeping at night. It's terribly hard to get him down. He sleeps for five hours and then is up every two. I have read plenty of sleeping books but at this point I don't care. I am not tired and stressed out and neither is he so we're alright to continue this. We continue our bedtime routine but when he wakes up every two hours I am not worried about what time it is or what's going on. I give him a bottle if he's hungry, if not we snuggle in the bed. Then we get up, get Little J off to school and have a happy day.

obviously this witch has nothing better to do.

I posted an offer on freecycle for a online coupon I had printed. I said if I got multiple offers I would make copies. Some idiot with nothing better to do emailed the mod saying "Isn't this fraud" Ummm WHO CARES? wouldn't you be happy just to get a freaking dollar off expensive ass maxi pads? I would. Not to mention anyone can go to the damn website and do the same. Aren't there more important things to be concerned about? Sheesh. It really pissed me off. I wanted to email the person a nice nasty note but I don't want to get kicked off Freecycle for calling this person a moron.

In other news. All is well. I have a draft waiting to be finished up and posted.

A random collection of stuff.

1. Kellogg's Vanilla and Almond cereal is delicious. It's so yummy that I eat it for a snack too. The only bad thing is when you open a new box most of the almonds are at the bottom. I guess that could be ok because then there's a sweet surprise at the end instead of just crumbs.

2. Last night, cooking dinner, James said "there's no milk" Me: "yes there is. It's in the red carton in front of the OJ." He pulls it out, looks at the label and sighs in disgust. "ORGANIC???????" He would not use the milk becuase it was organic. I tried to explain that Publix Milk come from cows that aren't injected with hormones and that's usually what I buy but I was at walmart and I don't trust the store brand quality (or their meat) so I bought full blown organic. There is no difference in the taste but he didn't care. He used heavy cream instead. GROSS! I am not sure what he put it in though. I thought it was weird that he was grossed out by something that is free of chemicals. Who wouldn't want clean milk?

3. One of my pairs of jeans is too big. That's great except they don't have any smaller. I should return them but I love them so much. They are not falling off or anything I just have to hitch em up after I walk around for awhile and they are a little baggy in the butt area. And no I don't have a small butt. They were fantastic when I tried them on though. They must stretch with movement ;)

4. I bought a beautiful coat on clearance as well. It's a winter white wool peacoat and it is so lovely. I got it for 75% off. I won't get much use out of it this year but it was such a deal.

5. J goes to Las Vegas next week for the yearly GM conference. Wish I could go.

6. My family is coming down for Easter. All except my mom, she couldn't get time off of work. It's very upsetting since she couldn't come last summer either. She won't see Christopher until we go up this summer, he'll be 6 months old. No longer the cute little newborn. Not that he won't still be cute, just not little.

7. When we go up this summer I want to go to D.C. and be a tourist. I think little J should see all the sights. I am also going to take him to Niagara Falls. That's much easier as it's only 3 hours away and an easy day trip. D.C is 8 hours and we would really need to stay a few days. I am tired of not going anywhere and J needs to see other places.

8. I have to get moving. J is off today and he will be back from the barber shortly.

You'd be surprised

at what a nice pair of jeans can do for your self esteem.....

I have steadily gained weight since I got pregnant with James. I gaiend 60 pounds with him and 7 years later it's still all there. I was lucky enough not to gain much weight with Christopher and lose all plus ten of it after. I am not a small women and I carry it ALL in my stomach. Let's just say trying to shop for clothes does more harm then good.

J loves Dillard's. I hate it. I had a preconceived notion that I couldn't fit what was cute and trendy and would only be able to wear what was in the "old lady" section. It turns out that I was right. BUT the liz claiborne jeans that were on the old lady clearance rack are anything but "old lady" and they are awesome. For some reason LC runs big so I am down 2 sizes just becuase of the label. SWEET! The jeans fit perfectly and look very nice. Plus I think it's about time that I looked "mature and grown up" rather the "cute" and that leads me to the tattoo I have on my chest. I think 2009 will be the year to have it removed. It will take all of 2008 to save up for it. A $50 will cost a small fortune to remove. If I ever wished I had listened to my mother it would be about that. I don't mind the tattoo really, just the location. It does nothing for my "mature and grown up" look. And it's really hard to find shirts that cover it up. I even tried Derma-Blend, which boasts that it can cover anything, it can't. I sat in the makeup chair for an hour while they tried every concealing make up they had, nothing worked. But my jeans look fanstastic so that's good enough for now.

I am off to the post office. Do you think I can manage a car seat and a package just as big? I don't but I will try my best.
